Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme: a real adventure for 14-24 year olds!

The aim of the scheme is to give participants a challenge that encourages personal discovery and growth, self-reliance, perseverance, responsibility for themselves and service to the community.

To gain an award, participants must complete four sections: Volunteering, Physical Recreation, Skills, and Expedition (plus an additional Residential Project, if they are going for the Gold Award). Details of all these sections and more are displayed in our library. Alternatively, students can visit the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme website at http://www.dofe.org/ or speak to Miss Caswell.
