World Challenge: Bolivia 2011
Thursday, 01 April 2010 13:17

19 brave, intrepid students are preparing for the trip of a lifetime: a four week expedition to Bolivia, South America, in the summer holidays 2011, organised and led by World Challenge (www.world-challenge.co.uk).

The Challengers will agree and organise their itinerary, but highlights are likely to include:

  • Checking out La Paz, the highest capital city in the world, at almost 12,000 feet
  • Trekking and camping in the Andes. Bolivia’s highest mountain is a staggering 21,500 feet!
  • Exploring the Amazonian rainforest in the east of the country, along the border with Brazil
  • Chilling out on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable waterway

Part of the challenge for our students is raising the funds to cover the costs of the trip. So good luck with your fund raising, everyone!
