The whole school community attended our second Annual Service of Praise and Thanksgiving at the Church of St Michael and All Angels, Waddesdon. The church was packed and we listened to the Junior and Senior singers singing John Rutter’s setting of ‘The Lord Bless You and Keep You’ and the school song, ‘Non Nobis Domine’. The wind band performed an arrangement of Amazing Grace and Meg Iliff-Rolfe and Dan Scott played some wonderful instrumental pieces. In addition, we spent time in prayer and reflected on readings from the Bible – ‘Numbers’, Chapter 6, Verses 24 – 26 and ‘1 Corinthians’, Chapter 13, Verses 1-13. The first of these readings recount an ancient blessing and make up our Bible Verses of the Year and the second is St Paul’s famous lesson on the nature of love. Do look them up if you have a Bible to hand!
