EcoSchools

Here at Waddesdon, we continue the work to make the school greener, aiming towards the Eco-School Silver Award. To achieve this, we needed an Eco-code for the school so Year 7 were asked to come up with one which covered the work being done and the message we want to give. Below is the winning code which was created by Carys Hylands, Alissimon Minnitt and Megan Richards of 7TE. Well done to these students – we think this poem really does capture what we are doing in our green campaign at Waddesdon and what we intend to do in the future.

However, that’s not all we’re doing. The group is now looking at reducing energy use in the school – how we can help the planet conserve its precious resources is our target for the next half term. A sub-group of the Student Council will be focusing on this to ensure that the environment at Waddesdon is as green as it can be. So remember to turn off those lights, keep recycling and think green!
