Virtual Musical Showcase 2021

On Friday 25th June, Waddesdon Performing Arts Department will be streaming a spectacular Musical Theatre Showcase online at 7:30pm. It is going to be stunning!

The event incorporates over 20 songs from a range of musicals, including Hamilton, Funny Girl, Hairspray, Dear Evan Hansen, The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Be More Chill, Amélie, Six, Heathers, Waitress, Come From Away, Newsies, Little Women, The Unofficial Autobiography of Samantha Brown and Matilda!

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have been forced to think creatively over the past year and the Musical Theatre Showcase is the result! All performances have been produced in year group bubbles, captured in 4K definition, and combine excellent singing and acting with superb choreography and music recorded by our student musicians in the new recording studio.

Here is a teaser to give you a taste of what our Year 7 students have done:

If you would like the chance to watch this extraordinary production in full, you will need to purchase your virtual ticket via our online school shop. There are two ticket options: £5 for an individual ticket and £10 for a family ticket.

Click on this link to go to the online school shop to buy your ticket:

Please share this link with any family or friends who would like to buy tickets so that we have an email address to send their link to the Showcase.

When you have paid for a ticket your email address will automatically be registered with us so that you can be sent a private link to the Musical Theatre Showcase on the evening of the 25th June. You will also be sent a virtual programme on the day itself, which will include all of the details and story behind the process of creating the Musical Theatre Showcase. Whilst the Showcase lasts for about one and a half hours, you will have a 3-hour window to watch it on the 25th June before it stops being available to stream.

We are immensely proud of what our performers have achieved, separated yet together, in what has been the most challenging of circumstances for the performing arts industry.

We hope to see you there. You will not be disappointed!
