Rewarding Leadership at Waddesdon

Leadership Development and Recognition 

Students in these groups receive Ivy House Leadership Training to help them design and implement their vision and actions effectively. Leadership awards are presented twice yearly (June and October) to celebrate student impact: 

• Student of Change: Recognises regular attendance at social action groups, collaboration on resource production, participation in assemblies, social courage (e.g., challenging prejudice), and contributions to the school magazine on social issues.
• Leader of Change: Awarded for leading social action groups, raising awareness on significant issues, recruiting and training younger students,demonstratingcommunity impact, and leading form times, CP lessons, or presentations at school events such as WaddFest and Staff INSET. 

These student leadership groups embody our belief that students flourish when connected to their community and empowered to lead on issues that matter. They play a crucial role in shaping a positive, inclusive school culture that reflects Waddesdon’s values of dignity, respect, and purposeful citizenship.
