 Focus: Anti-bullying, LGBTQ+ awareness, and anti-sexism 

Achievements and Impact: 

  • Developed antibullying week resources used in form times across the school, raising awareness and promoting kindness.
  • Delivered assemblies on bullying, LGBTQ+ issues, Pride Month, and men’s mental health, engaging the whole school community.
  • Trialled a “talking space” in C6, providing a safe environment for student dialogue and supportat lunch times
  • Created and displayed STOP posters around the school site to promote respectful behaviour.
  • Participatedin interviewing the New Bishop of Buckingham, giving students a voice in important community events.
  • Collaborated with the CP teacher to reshape Year 10 Citizenship Programme sessions, delivering lessons focused on anti-sexism.
  • Ran aWaddfeststall educating on sexism and period poverty, raising awareness and encouraging empathy. 
  • Conducted a school-wide anti-sexism survey to gather student views and inform future actions.

Recent Successes (since April 2024): 

  • Organised a Rainbow Dress Day and produced form time resources and an assembly for Pride Month, involving students, staff, and the wider community in celebration and education.
  • Worked with staff to develop a student-led antibullying policy, ensuring student voices shape school behaviour expectations.
  • Supported the creation of a whole-school anti-sexism survey to deepen understanding and promote equality.
  • Provided form time resources on anti-sexism as part of antibullying week activities.

Current Projects: 

  • Launching a trial student council starting with Year 7 representatives, fostering early leadership and student voice.
  • Planning a 6th Form Cultural Celebration event to promote diversity and inclusion within the senior student community.
